Hi,
I have an Inseego FX2000 5G wifi-router and my Android phone with the Volumio app is on this router’s network, but when I try to connect the streamer in the app, it tries to connect forever and never gets a connection. The streamer never appears in my router’s list of connected devces. I have made sure that the router’s settings are okay, there is dhcp, privacy separation is turned off and I have also followed some recommendations for setting security to “WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode” and 802.11 mode to “802.11 bgn” for the 2.4 GHz band. I have also tried with an ethernet cable, restarting router and streamer etc. But nothing helps. Do you have any advice what I might try next? Thank you, Morten
I now tried to connect it to my TV via an HDMI cable and when I boot the streamer, at least I can see to OS starting up.
It says the version is 3.779.
Now, I got it to work! Here are the steps I followed, just so others who might be in a similar situation can benefit from this information.

Do a factory reset of the streamer. Since it is not on the network, you need to do the reset with a USB stick formatted as FAT32. The stock USB sticks should work fine in their factory versions. I am on Linux and had formatted my stick with a different file system, so in order to make it compliant, in a terminal I did:
sudo wipefs -a /dev/sdb
sudo parted /dev/sdb mklabel msdos
sudo parted -a optimal /dev/sdb mkpart primary fat32 0% 100%
sudo mkfs.fat -F 32 /dev/sdb1
(almost no one will ever need this, but just in case)
then I did:
touch factory_reset
and then I copied the factory_reset file to the USB stick.
- I plugged the streamer into my TV via an HDMI cable and I plugged a USB mouse into one of the streamer’s USB ports and then I turned on the TV and booted the streamer. This brought up the setup interface which I completed using the mouse, including the vital step of connecting the streamer to my wifi network. That was it. I hope it may prrove useful to someone.
