Volumio Android + Raspberry Pi 5

Hi every one !!!
Thanks for the oportunity to post in this forum.
My question is how shoot off the Android volumio app. without power down the Raspberry pi power supply. The AI explained me many irrealisatic methods.
Any help with that ?

Hey @Alvo,

Welcome to the community.

Your question is hard to follow, so I am guessing at what you mean. Two possible readings:

  1. You want to power off Volumio safely instead of pulling the power supply.

If that is the case: open the Volumio app or the web UI, go to the menu (gear icon), choose Power, then Power off. Wait until the green LED activity on the Pi stops, then it is safe to remove power. You should never cut power without doing this first, as it can corrupt the SD card or disk.

  2. You want to close the Android app without it affecting the Raspberry Pi.

If that is the case: the app is only a remote control. Closing it does nothing to the Pi. Volumio keeps running and you can reconnect any time.

If neither of these matches your question, please describe again what you want to achieve, step by step. Also include:

  • Your exact Volumio version (for example 4.xxx, not “latest”)
  • Confirmation of your hardware (Raspberry Pi 5, storage type, power supply)

That will help us give you a precise answer instead of guesses.

Kind Regards,

HI NERD, thank you very much for your help.
I already discovered the Volumio power button .
My setup is Raspberry Pi 5 with the official power supply, a Modi5 Dac and a couple of JBL powered spwakers.
I have everything powered from a 120V
Multioutlet activated by remote control. So with just a button click I am able to power on /off the whole thing. But now, I am closing the Volumio app. before power the system off. That way, I hope keep the Volumio OS up and running. Again, thank for your help.
Kind refards.
