@reboot - Given what you say is true, and I accept your point; but how do you ‘police’ the plugin environment to make sure it’s not being abused, or that badly coded plugins are not being uploaded, which may cause Volumio to crash, or indeed, users may be downloading malware. At some point you need a gate keeper, as unfortunately, there are some very unpleasant people out there, or at best not very good programmers!
