Volumio 1.4 won't play 44.1 files

Hi Michelangelo - thanks for the ongoing work. I enjoy Volumio! And the long nights…

I have 1.4 running on a new Pi and connected via I2S to the ESS9018K2M from DIYINHK. It plays 24/96 and 24/192 files fine but 16/44 files are badly distorted. Seems the sample rate does not change (a guess) when going to a 16/44.1 file.

Is there anything I can try changing in mpd.conf or elsewhere?

By the way, if I play the K2M via USB it works fine with all sample rates.

This is a bug with the driver… If you activate resampling to 96/24 it will fix the issue, but you’ll loose some quality… Take it as a temporary fix, I will investigate on that…

Thanks. Will set re sampling to 96 and wait on next version. Please also set Consume to ‘off’ as default in next version!!!
