Just wondering if anyone has an easy button I can push.
I got an update notice today and it fails.
I’m guessing the “manually edited files” are because I installed peppymeter.
Does anyone know if I ssh into server are there manual updates commands I can run or am I stuck removing peppymeter, updating, and reinstalling it?
btw; if it matters I’m running Volumio on a Raspberry PI4.
Thanks in advance for any help.
First disable all installed plugins, reboot and try to update again.
As final resort you can run: volumio updater forceupdate
Thank you so much. That is the easy button and worked like a charm. I’m updated and enjoying music.
This is a recipe for disaster…
Your system will behave unpredictably because you have modified files which superseded volumio ones.
My suggestion is to do a factory reset
BTW why peppy meter has to modify volumio files?

As far as I am aware, Peppy_meter doesn’t alter any Volumio files. (besides the alsa.conf)
But I have noticed that in some occasions there is a false positive that causes the “update failed”.
