USB stick music starts with error on Rivo+ I2S output

Volumio Version: 3.886
Hardware: 1.0
DAC: -

I inserted my USB stick (fat32) in the USB3.0 port of my Rivo Plus filled with music (flac).
When i do a rescan and select a song/album i always got an red popup error:

“Error”
Failed to open “alsa”(also); Error
opening ALSA device “volumio”;
snd_pcm_hw_params() failed: No such
device or address.

But … when i click again it works.
It’s only on my USB Stick, not when i stream from my NAS (wifi).

Hi. Maybe the USB becomes idle until you click it again?

As a Rivo plus owner you can raise a support ticket for free

It looks like it indeed !

I’ll post my findings here.

In the meantime i removed my NAS (wifi) and replaced it with a 2Tb SSD plugged into the USB3 port of my Rivo+.
Most of the time i got a “Failed to open alsa” messages when i want to start a song.
If i click again it plays without errors or hickups.
If the song skipped automatically to the next song of the album it went ok.
It only appears when i start.

Other thing is when i skip forward in a song, i got most of the time an “failed to open audio output” warning and the song stops.
If i click the play button it starts at the skipped time normal without problems.

I found out this weekend that it only appears on the I2S output and not on the USB output.
I made a ticket so if this is solved i post it here.
