I went through a LOT of posts and realised that modushop.biz was the way to go, and now my streamer looks like this. Very pleased with it…
Nice! May I ask the details for the screen?
Indeed
Thanks
Alastair
Looks great. Which chassis is that? (I can’t tell from their website) And did you have them custom cut the screen opening for you?
Yes, I paid for 2 x customisations - front and back - which i did with
https://www.schaeffer-ag.de/en/front-panel-designer#download.
I nearly had a brain explosion from trying to work out the cut-outs for the back using tinkercad, but the snappily named front panel designer was infinitely easier to use, and I banged out both front and back in 30 mins (after, as i said, reminding myself which way around the X and Y axis go…) and exported to DWG (? i think - from memory) which i sent to Gianluca @ modoshop who customised and shipped to me in the UK from Italy in six days.
Cheers
Alastair
Well, the finished result looks fantastic, so I’m sure that’s due to more than just good luck on your part. You obviously know how to wield that design tool to do your bidding. Thanks for sharing – you’ve definitely inspired me to try for my own creation.
Looks awesome! Can you share the details on how you attached the display to the front panel?
Thanks
I have everything for my streamer but trying to figure out a good way to attach the display (without making elaborate machining of the front panel)…
I used these angles brackets in the previous version (when i built the streamer out of a 3-bottle wine case) and they were ‘ok’ - someone more proficient and patient than me could probably have done a better job…
Well this excludes me ![]()
