I just got an update notification and tried to update Volumio but it failed giving this error:
I checked the forums before posting this. I found others having this issue 5 years ago. Read those posts but couldnt fix my issue.
The only changes i made via ssh is editing the /boot/userconfig.txt to add the Waveshare 7.9 monitor details).
And here is the /boot/config.txt (I did not edit this manually):

Could you please kindly help?`I dont want to make a factory reset as i did a lot of configurations and added web radio stations etc…

please try again when peppy is disabled.
Peppy overwrites system files, causing OTA to fail.

Why is this plugin editing files? We must fix it
It modifies UI in /volumio and mpd.conf.tmpl.
It is the reason it is not on the store.
But there’s no other way with the current volumio Ui
What is the differences between Peppy and Spectrum?
One displays meter, and one spectrum
Exactly the same mechanism from the same Dev.
But in order to display metadatas, the peppymeter plugin modifies the Ui

We involved the dev in the mods group right? Let’s fix this situation for good
