Unable to cast after unknown number of days. Logout, then log back in on all devices and it works

My family seems to frequently be unable to cast to any of the 3 volumioOS machines in the home. They are on raspberry pi 3b+ and 4s. Restarting doesn’t help. Android and Apple both don’t see them as endpoints. Personally, I use tidal, but some use YouTube music (so they can never cast to volumio). One member uses Spotify, and another used Amazon.

Anyway, I notice that if I go to the IP, it shows my premium account with the tidal integration and it recognizes my paid annual plan. If I click the logout button, then log back in, close the account window, and wait for the toast message stating the player restarted, all works well again.

This seems to be a once or twice a week thing. Maybe more or less, as I stream the least amount. People tend to keep casting to a Google speaker, since it’s always available. It sounds horrid. Is there a way to troubleshoot this, or would you say it’s expected?

Since I posted this, I’ve had to logout and login 3x. So it does seem to work well for a few days before it just kinda dies off. Anyway. No biggie, just wanted to give more info. It’s likely a very rare occurrence, but if any future folks come by… App shows all your players, app indicates they are logged in, but phone can’t cast: go to the machines IP and click the hamburger.

Select your name (in my case “premium” is indicated, I’m not sure if free accounts have the same issue, or just if yo name is Zach. :wink:
