Trouble installing Spotify Plugin

Hi all, I tried to install the Spotify plugin but there was an error. I now can’t uninstall it either.

Is there somewhere I can go to see the log and find out why it didn’t work? Or can I install it manually? If so how do I find out the proper URL to install it from?

Thanks!

Louis

What is Volumio version?
Did you install it from the store?

I am on volumio 3 - I just installed it.

I installed the plugin from the Plugins section of the web interface.

This is why I don’t know exactly what the error is.

You can enable ash and remove the plugin

rm -Rf /data/plugin/music_service/spop

Then reboot volumio
Try to reinstall.
If it fails again, maybe your SD card is corrupted. Reflash a new one…

Hi Balbuze, thanks for the tip. I tried that, and I get the same problem.

A few things

  • I don’t think it’s the SD card as I only just bought it and haven’t done very with it - it’s basically a fresh install of volumio, and I’m not having any other errors.

Note: here is the log I’m getting:

Downloading plugin at https://plugins.volumio.workers.dev/pluginsv2/download/spop/3.0.8/volumio/buster/armhf
END DOWNLOAD: https://plugins.volumio.workers.dev/pluginsv2/download/spop/3.0.8/volumio/buster/armhf
Creating install location
Unpacking plugin
Checking that the plugin is suitable for this version of Volumio The plugin can be used with this version of Volumio
Checking for duplicate plugin
Copying plugin to location
Installing necessary utilities
An error occurred while installing the plugin Error

Also, important - I just realised I’m getting the same error with both the Youtube plugin and the Mixcloud plugin, so it’s not just spotify.

Any ideas?

Did you changed the default password?
If yes, restore it
