Track list order and play next or queue, not working

Hi guys, apologies if already been posted before. But been using the free version of volumio to stream music from a raspberry pi 4 into a usb hard drive, and noticed it neither plays albums in order nor will it add, music play next or to queue. Any ideas how to solve, if possible.

Any help, or replies, will be much appreciated.

if I read it correctly:

  • Albums don’t play in the correct order
  • You can’t add songs to “Play Next” or to the queue

Use software like MP3Tag to check your files, track numbers might be muddled.
My naming and tagging convention is to have leading zeros on track numbers and filenames.
Filename Title Track
01 A Forest.flac A Forest 01

That way they sort in order and it matches the track numbering.

Thanks PW, will look into that software, but i would say that pretty much all my albums for the most part, are listed as you said 01 02 etc.on hard drive,. The funny thing, using now, and scanning through music, the track listing is in the right order, but reading as 1-10 instead of 01-10 its not recognizing the 0 if that makes sense

Sometimes you have to look at it twice and scratch your head before you see the problem. Some software shows the leading zero and some doesn’t.
