Third Party Remote Control

Hi, I’m new to Rivo Plus and wondered what are the options, if any, for the use of a third party remote control I’m on release 3.874 and I’m in the UK.

You need to look for a remote that have the buttons you need. Looks like you have the luxury of Raspberry and full access/freedom on that platform. I’m on a commercial Rivo+ device and modding the OS on that may bring warranty problems!

I’m quite sure I mentioned running it on the Rivo.
Adding a Bluetooth remote and a script doesn’t void the warranty, after a factory reset, everything is back to default.

Sorry, I missed that and focussed on the ‘RP14’ reference in the title of the article you cited. Apologies. Secondary issue is that my device seems to be unaware of v4 of Volumio. My update checks say I’m up to date with v3.874! I have a separate question out for that. Thank you for your help though.

V4 for Volumio hardware is scheduled for Q1 2026. They want to be sure it’s stable prior to release.
