Hi there,
I am trying to telnet to the Linux kernel with Putty so I can modify /etc/mpd.config to allwo DSD over PCM playback on my IQAudio Dac+ with Rip3…
Anyway it looks like ports 23 and 23 are disable after I did a port scan with Fing…
How does one get under the hood to tinker with the config files? I have the latest version of Volumio off the website.
Thanks
Hi
why not trying ssh (tcp:22).
Works with Putty and is even more secure.
Cheers!

Sorry typo, both ports 22 AND 23 do not appear nor are reachable via putty with both telnet and ssh
and the scan with fing only shows ports 53, 80, 111, 139, 445, 3000, 3001, 3005 and 5000 open…

This is correct behavior, you need to manually enable SSH. Do so on the dev page: volumio.local/dev
Now you can putty in your Pi again
And I suggest you to enable DoP via the UI : Playback options
Yep, all done and works DSDoPCM! Cool so now I can play dsf file with my Ri3 and IQAudio Dac! Yipee!
