I have use volumio version 3423 and I’m happy with it.
now I see each time when start up that there is an update available and I already
switched it off but still I get this message.
is there a way to switch off the update by sudo, because you cannot use your phone for the time that
update is in the screen I have version 3.423 and want to use this
Each time when I start the app Volumio I get a message update available for 6 sec and must wait before this message is gone even when the settings update is switched off.
I want to use this version, and I don’t want to update, my kids have also access to this app
and now it’s the second time they updated it and the screen and settings were gone.
I have been looking forward to this option, too. Sadly, this appears to be unsupported. Nowadays, developers insist that users should participate in an endless loop of updates to provide the developers with constant stream of bug reports on glitches introduced with each new update. Probably, that is why at least some of us must suffer from this annoying update reminder each time the player starts up. Since their lips are sealed, we can file it as a concealed cost of free software. One of many, I suppose.
Yeah I totally agree.
If there are guests around or kids using the system.
Not sure if its them trying to be helpful or trying to be funny. As everyone (even kids) knows if you update its going to pause whatever is going on and possibly break it.
There needs to be an option to remove this ability to update from the main screen.
Or at least password protect the update process so it cant be done by anyone.
I have removed the icon and the pop-up with a couple of edits to the app-********.js file.
