Sudo apt update - Is it safe to run?

Hello experts, just a quick question: Is it safe to run sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade to update Volumio through ssh? Or would it mess up the Volumio installation?

it might mess-up the system with future OTA updates

There zero benefit in doing so and a high chance that it’ll break the functioning of Volumio and/or its plugins.

Volumio is an OS, so best to let Volumio do the updates that it has tested to not break the system.
