Spotify Plugin Output Sounds Terrible - Continuous Distortion with Scratchy/Crackling Sound

Hi,

I am running the x86 version of Volumio with the Topping E30 DAC connected via USB.

Streaming radio using the built-in functionality sounds great, but streaming Spotify via the Spotify plugin (3.0.6) sounds terrible. There’s a continuous scratchy/crackling noise that overpowers the music.

I’ve not found anything in the settings that makes this any better.

Any ideas?
