I’m a Premium user of spotify and use the spotify plug-in to connect with Volumio. After a while the sound is cut off. It seems that it is still running, but the only solution I have is to restart volumio and spotify. This happens several times a day.
Anybody the same experience?
Is this Spotify or Spotify Connect?
I’m using spotify connect 2
Could you share some logs?
Either from the /dev
page using the livelog feature or via ssh.
# Volumio logs
journalctl -f
# vollibrespot logs
journalctl -f -u volspotconnect2.service
Note you might need sudo
before these commands depending on the version of Volumio your running
That is a start yes, but that doesn’t really show anything abnormal.
There are a few things that might need some investigation, but don’t see anything explicitly wrong.

Could you try logging in via SSH and running the commands posted above the next time you encounter this issue? That makes it easier to debug…
is this sufficient ordo you need a longer log.

Hmm, no not really - are you sure these logs are from when you were playing some music on Spotify Connect and it suddenly dropped out as you describe in your first post?
Ideally you’d have to get terminal access to the pi (either via ssh or add a keyboard/monitor to the pi) and then run the journalctl
commands from a few posts up.

I have collected some logs as you requested. Where can I put them? I can’t see a possibilty to add a file to a message.
If it’s a text file, you should be able to attach it to the post either by drag and drop, or clicking the upload
icon in the formatting header.
PS: allowed file types are (jpg, jpeg, png, gif, zip, txt)
