here also the same problem, software mixer type on no I do not get a connection … once the mixer type on software I can connect and play music and then I can put the software mixer back on none and it all remains okay.

I have turned the plugin off and on but without result.

note, as soon as I change the volume in the plugin and save it the problem starts again and I must first put the mixer type on software and then it works normally again.

Hi All,
just for Your information : 0.8.5 version is working well on next configuration :
Odroid C2 + TOPPING D30 USB DAC, HW mixer + volumio 2.513

  • PREV, NEXT, VOL UP, VOL DOWN OK from volumio
  • select another song from spotify OK
  • PAUSE from volumio stops spotify playback, cannot continue with pressing the pause button again, only from spotify.
  • one click on PREV in volumio jumps onto beginning of track, but the time counter is not reset to 0:00, it continues to count from previous position …
  • double click on PREV skips playback to beginning of previous song …

So generraly I’m happy, thank You developer for nice work again :slight_smile:

Installing the newest dev version stucks at “Status: Downloading plugin”.

Has anyone an idea to this problem? I do this as root on a very fresh installed Volumio.

I use Volumio 2.555 on Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. I have used volspotconnect2 from the very beginning. Installing via Plugins works but not via SSH. I have installed it so many time via SSH but now I have no idea why it does not work.

Strange behavior …

I have made now a reboot after first initial boot, did a install of a separate dpkg for my mausberry switch, did a second reboot and after all this the installation worked for me.

Maybe it was the mistake to try the install immediately after the first boot (skipping the wizzard and only establishing the network connection).

The plugin works now much better in version 0.8.6 - Thanks so much!

One issue I have noticed:

The initial volume can not be changed. I can adjust the slider and save the setting but after reentering the settings the initial volume is still on the old value.

First of all, thanks for all the good work on the plugin, awesome!

Second, with the new 0.8.7 version, when you slide the initial volume to 100% it still goes back to 30 after saving en re-entering the plugin settings.
But in the spotify app it stays on 100%, so the problem is solved but the ui behavior is still kinda wrong.

So it is ok, but the slider does not work as it should.

I just installed on 0.9 on a fresh and updated install of Volumio. It showed up in Spotify but I couldn’t connect. Now it doesn’t show up at all. Thoughts?

Thanks for the update, 0.9.1 is working properly again. Had to update to latest Volumio version to get volume control working with volsimpleequal enabled, but all fine now!

Updated release doesn’t work fine with Spotify streaming - can’t change the songs - can’t move through artists ecc.
