How do you update music datbase?
I run update with the gui, and the process terminates correctly, but at next start of x86 atom i can’t get new songs probably because
volumio does not switch off or restart the device cleanly. I must take off the power chord. Then?
volumio@volumio:~$ ls -al /var/lib/mpd
total 21656
drwxr-xr-x 1 mpd audio 4096 Feb 25 2018 .
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4096 Jan 1 03:09 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 71 Feb 18 2018 music
drwxrwxrwx 2 mpd audio 3 Dec 6 2014 playlists
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 22163409 Jan 26 2018 tag_cache
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 391 Jan 1 03:09 tag_cache.empty
volumio@volumio:~$
I updated the db and i can listen to new added songs, and i see them in the gui volumio library, but if i get the db file with ssh wget, the songs aren’t there and if i restart the player (power reset) i have not new music, i get old database without the added songs. Is there a tmp file volumio or mpd work onto ? Where could i grab the music updates? I could put them on mounted volumio hdd…
No way.
Volumio does not shutdown or restart the device (an x86 atom) and does not save from ram the
music updates. I tried mpc command, to update, stop and restart the service…
Anyone experienced same problem?
Is my music database permissions (root root) correct?
Could someone check for his permissions db? (ssh, ls -al /var/lib/mpd)
settings in mpd config file for user params are “mpd audio”
I’m now on version 2387 and all seems working perfect.
The problem of shutting down the atom D525 is solved, and
database updating is working too. Thanks
