[Solved] Radio streams do not always work

Hi

I installed volumio on a PI B+, using its standard audio jack connector, to play online radio streams.

I see some web streams work and some do not work, I am trying to find out why some stations do not play on this configuration.

For example, these stations do work:

vip-icecast.538.lw.triple-it.nl:80/RADIO538_MP3
8513.live.streamtheworld.com:80/VERONICAAAC_SC

And these stations do not work:

stream.radio10.nl/radio10aac.m3u
icecast-qmusic.cdp.triple-it.nl/ … 32.aac.m3u

I am using a .pls file like this:

[playlist]
File1=http://icecast-qmusic.cdp.triple-it.nl/Qmusic_nl_nonstop_32.aac.m3u
Title1=Q Music
Length1=-1
NumberOfEntries=1
Version=2

Why do some station not play?

From previous reports, it sounds like this is a bug in MPD 0.19.1 which is fixed in later versions.

After speaking with Michelangelo, he would be willing to update Volumio 1.X and Volumio 2 to the latest MPD version 0.19.9. :slight_smile:

For those of you wanting to update MPD, I recompiled the latest version with Volumio optimizations.

To install, SSH to volumio and:

wget http://repo.volumio.org/Packages/Mpd/mpd_0.19.9-2_armhf.deb
dpkg -i mpd_0.19.9-2_armhf.deb

Hi,
Running V1.55 on a Raspberry Pi 2 and HiFiBerry DAC+, just installed everything and can only get airplay to work so I thought I would upgradeMPD accordnig to this but it does not work, missing packages. I am not a Linux newbie so I looked for the missing packages but cannot find them in the repo. Log:
