Shutdown via Api Call

Hi,
I am new user of Volumio.
Is it possible to use a Web-API for commands which were offered by the Web-Interface (e.g. raspberry shutdown via http command). I would like to use this possibility for remote control of the players in my smart home installation. (e.g. Max2Play offers this possibilty).
I have not found this possibility in the API documentation.

The websocket api seems to have a listener for shutdown and reboot
