Hello i own the volumio rivo
And also have the lps sbooster mkii with the extra ultra filter.
I have heard contradictions about if they can play together safely for the volumio, because of the lower Amper power supply when adding the ultra filter.
I know it plays like a charm with the sbooster mkii but,
Has anyone tried this out?

I have used the mkII sotw with ultra filter on my primo and rivo with no problems.
Which contradictions do you have or heard?
I have heard from the sbooster manufacturer that i should not use the ultra mkii filter
"the 5V Sbooster Ultra MKII is not compatible with the Rivo. Do not use the 5V Ultra MKII to avoid damage to your device.
The power supply for the Rivo+ is specified as 5V - 3A.
The output current of the 5V Ultra MKII is only 1.1A max. and therefor not suitable as an additional upgrade.
There are no online figures available about the actual power consumption of the Rivo unit. This will in most cases be lower that the specified 15W (5V x 3A = 15W), but it will be higher than the 5.5W that the 5V Ultra MKII can deliver.
When a power supply is not capable to deliver sufficient power to an audio device, then the internal power rail(s) of the audio device can become defective. "
I used before sbooster mkii botw with no problems
What’s the difference in sound from the simple sbooster mkii?
Also in which voltage did you choose to the sbooster 6 or 6.5 ?
I am afraid of using the ultra onto the sbooster
but with the Booster the sound is great !

Was using the 5v/3a sbooster without ultra filter.
Sound was good so with a sbooster lps its your endgame.
I swapped the sbooster to lineo5 as the lineo5 can be used both for rivo and headphone amplifier with split cable.
With lineo5 the sound is better in my system compare to sbooster.
Its allways little tricky on this topic as it all depends on rest of the system and synergy

How is better the lineo to the sbooster Streamer depending only?
without the ultra off course , since with the ultra the streamer cannot play properly and doesn’t have the dynamics that has only with the sbooster lps…
Besides lineo5 is little chunky lps
It do really good maybe more fullness, dynamics but wont say day/night compare to sbooster.
Both are great lps for money.
But again its up to the rest of the chain in your setup ,room etc.
If you have the sbooster stick with it if you want lps to run primo,rivo and 5v dac/ headphone amplifier dac go with lineo5 as you can att y spilt dc cable
