At the moment I use Pi with Hifiberry DAC 2HD(w/ Burr-Brown DAC) and pass the analog signal to my Cambridge CXA60 amp.

But the amp has it’s own DAC that is now circumvented by the Burr-Brown DAC from the Hifiberry HAT.
Getting different HAT would be an easy solution to pass a digital from the Pi the amp but also painful since I realize now that I probably bought the wrong HAT.

Since the Cambridge Amp has just Coax and Toslink input I wonder if there is another solution to get digital audio output from the the Pi to my amp? Passing thru external DAC with digital out and then again in the DAC of the amp?

Not sure if you still can retrun it But you should go for a HifiBerry Digi, Hifiberry Digi2 Pro, HiFiBerry DAC+ DSP.
Normally I would always opt for the Allo Digione, but it’s hard to get one nowadays.
