I’ve been looking at some larger screens for another Volumio streamer.
I came across this one on Amazon.
I’m not sure if this will be a good candidate. I don’t want to get this if it wont work.
This will be used with a Pi 3 B+ and a HiFiBerry DIGI2 Pro.
Any input on this would be much appreciated.

i just installed it on a pi5 and it works fine. Although the speakers are puny.
It works well with the suggestion of update for /boot/config.txt, but for us it goes in /boot/userconfig.txt:
framebuffer_width=1024
framebuffer_height=600
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_cvt=1024 600 60 3 0 0 0
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=87
I haven’t been able to turn on/off the backlight with dpms.
If you use the little buttons on it, you can turn off the turn off after x minutes which powers off the device entirely so that you don’t have to unplug it to turn it back on. (That off disables touch too.)
As it stands now, the backlight stays on but it wakes up with a touch. Almost perfect.
Did you already try adding
hdmi_blanking=1
to your “/boot/userconfig.txt”?
Yes I did. It does not turn off the backlight. The screen blanks. That is all.
I tried a number of xset commands with no luck either.
