x86 install
Internal card only plays one channel even though other channels are selected and saved in mixer settings.
Fix is to ssh into volumio and run alsamixer (select the card) where it is found that only the first channel is active.
Increase volume for second channel.
ssh another instance while the alsamixer window is open and in the new window run ‘sudo alsactl store’
Reboot and now both channels play.
The UI volume control for the card still, irritatingly, only controls one channel.
There is obviously a bug in the UI>alsa communications.
If there is a fix for the volume control to work with both channels then I can bypass my preamp and run the output from the RME card and Volumio direct to the power amplifiers.
Can supply a diagnostic if needed.
Many thanks for viewing.
