salve a tutti, ho appena preso un Rivo + e vorrei connetterlo in I2s con il mio DAC, un wyred 4 sound 10th anniversary.
tramite I2S riesco a sentire i DSD (che nn mi interessano), ma niente in PCM. Ho provato via sw tutti i brand di DAC, senza musica i DAC vede la frequenza, ma appena vado in play, sparisce il lock e non s sente nulla. Ho provato anche i settaggi sul DAC (I2S, LF or Right) ma nulla. Ho chiesto anche all’assistenza: mi ha risposto ma non ho risolto. qualcuno ha esperienza in merito?

Il fatto che i file DSD non funzionino tramite uscita Coax, a meno che non venga impostata la conversione in PCM, è assolutamente normale. L’uscita Coax infatti non supporta il DSD nativo.
Dal momento che i file DSD funzionano correttamente tramite uscita I2S / DSD-over-HDMI, possiamo confermare che l’interfaccia sta operando correttamente e non si tratta di un problema hardware.
Le suggeriamo di verificare le seguenti impostazioni sul DAC:

Formato ingresso I2S
Nel menu del DAC dovrebbe essere presente un’impostazione relativa al tipo di I2S.
Assicuri che sia impostata su I2S.
Le modalità Left Justified o Right Justified non sono corrette in questo caso. -
Jitter Eliminator
Provi a impostare il valore su Highest.
Se il funzionamento risulta corretto, può poi scendere gradualmente riducendo il livello, effettuando delle prove fino a trovare l’impostazione ottimale.

Mi è capitato qualcosa di simile con l’I2S: spesso il problema è il pinout HDMI, che non è standard e cambia da DAC a DAC. Se i DSD vanno ma il PCM perde il lock, può essere proprio una mappatura diversa di LRCLK/BCLK. Prova altri profili DAC nel Rivo o a cambiare le opzioni Left/Right swap e DSD flag. In alternativa potresti chiedere a Magna di aggiungere un profilo specifico per Wyred.

The Rivo is a commercial Volumio product. Hardware and configuration issues with it are handled through the official Volumio support portal, not the community forum. Marco from Volumio Support already responded to Raffaele directly and moved the conversation to a ticket. That is the correct channel for this.
Your reply contains speculative troubleshooting advice - HDMI pinout mapping, LRCLK/BCLK remapping, swapping flags - none of which is backed by any diagnostic evidence from either your own experience or the original poster’s setup. You state “spesso il problema e il pinout HDMI” as though this is an established fact for this specific hardware combination. It is not. Without logs, without confirmed I2S signal analysis, and without knowledge of the Rivo’s HDMI-I2S implementation specifics, this is guesswork presented as guidance.
Guesswork sent to someone who is already working with official support risks contradicting the actual troubleshooting process and sending them down paths that waste time or create new problems.
If you have direct, verified experience with the Rivo and the Wyred 4 Sound 10th Anniversary DAC over I2S - specific settings that worked, confirmed behaviour you observed - that would be genuinely useful. Otherwise, the best thing to do here is let official support handle it, which they are already doing.
