I would like to connect the rivo+ directly to Genelec monitors. These active speakers have built-in DACs (one per driver) but the digital volume control requires a computer and some accessories that I don’t want to connect at all time to my system. Another option would be to rely on the Rivo+ volume control processing thru the Volumio App even though the quality of the signal output might be affected. What I don’t know is at which level of digital attenuation (-dB) the quality will be significantly reduced and at which internal bit depth (24-bit, 32-bit floating point…) the DSP processing of the Rivo+ operates.
I would be very grateful to have the answer to these two questions.
