I read many messages about. I try many additional options to mount my smb hard disk connected to my router, but volumio have problem to connect to smb hard disk.
The network hardisk have set right permission in router, in fact with moodeaudio example i can access to files
Can you help me.

Please explain exactly how you have tried to set up the hard drive. What error messages do you see?
Note that I have seen postings from other people having problems attaching storage to their routers, primarily because the share name is not what they think it is.
I use volumio 2.565 on raspberry pi3b
In window 10 shell, this is the path to acces to nas harddisk : \ASUS\audio
Here the window path, as your suggest in old post in forum : \192.168.1.1\audio
Here router samba setting, with user âraspberryâ with all permit on folder âaudioâ ( login without problem in window 10 shell)
In volumio set page, i try with the name as system give me, and second try to change with ip number of router
Type of acces n volumio is NFS, Cif not work
After this, i try other option to mount hard disk in âOptionâ as ver=1.0, ver=2.0, ver=3.0, and otherâŚ
I take more datas about my smb server. I enter with ssh in volumio.
THIS IS RESULT OF COMMAND âsmbclient -L asusâ , where asus is the name of my smb server;
âServer does not support EXTENDED_SECURITY but 'client use spnego = yes and âclient ntlmv2 auth = yesâ
session setup failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIEDâ
AFTER I MAKE THIS CHANGE
I change smb.conf and add this line
client NTLMv2 auth = no
client usa spnego = no
I run smbclient -L asus where asus is name of smb server, and now this is output :

At moment i canât see files in volumio, but i think that is correct way
I update router software, and now, without modify smb.conf in volumio, server give me right response with ssh .
But not work in volumio web browser, canât connect to smb server.

I Like volumio, best in user interface and function.
But i try moodeaudio and runeaudio, and no problem to mount network harddrive.

I tried to replicate the same kind of settings you entered in volumio but I still canât mount my drive.
Could you help me?
Your Asus router mentions Samba share, this means CIFS, not NFS.
Please change your File Share Type to CIFS accordingly.

Thanks all, I fixed it:
1- Yes correct, I had to use CIFS, not NFS.
2- The network path was incorrect, I just had to enter the subfolder of my hard drive.
Iâm trying to do the same but I canât get Volumio to connect to my shared drive. I can access drive via Windows. Can anybody please help and tell me what Iâm doing wrong. These are my settings and I receive the error below.
Am I supposed to use my routerâs user name and password in Volumio? I see volumio as the user name on some of these posts which is confusing. Please help, I have been trying to resolve this issue !

The user and pass that you type into volumio is the on that you use to access your NAS.(Network Attached Storage)
eg.
say if you are on your desktop PC and the very first time you double click on a shared folder that is located on your NAS it will ask you for a user and password. Use those in volumio
