As I like to plug/unplug my Volumio box, I would love to have a “read-only” version, where / and /boot are mounted read-only. Just like a live CD. That way it’s safe to unplug it without halting it first, and there is no risk ever to have the system broken or corrupted.
/tmp and other can go to a RAM disk, and if there’s data that need to change it can be on a NFS on a NAS.
