Hello,
I can’t stream Qobuz with Upnp protocole. I have the Qobuz desktop on my Mac, I can see Volumio in the DLNA/Upnp list but when I select it the music just stop and I have this message in volumio:
Is there something to activate in the volumio preferences?
The volumio system is on an ALLO Usbridge
Nobody has an idea?
I’m really annoyed of being stuck with the airplay’s 16/44.1 limitations and not being able to play my High Res subscription
There seems to be an issue on how the QOBUZ app sends the http URL to Volumio’s UPNP… Sorry but don’t have any suggestion for you, need to try that and see if I can replicate.
Just a thought: why don’t you try MyVolumio and its native QOBUZ implementation?
volumio.org/myvolumio/
I’d love to, but the Allo usbridge is on sparky board
We’re working to release the Sparky image soon
And there you have it:
updates.volumio.org/sparky/volum … ky.img.zip
Let us know how it goes
Awesome! I’ll try it Monday!
Just to add to this, and posted elsewhere, I cannot play music from the Qobuz app. If I look at Audio output and expand the DLNA tree, I can see Volumio and tick it. However, playing any music reverts it to the internal speakers.
This has been broken through the MyVolumio development and is still broken. I would be very grateful if it could be looked at.
IMHO this can be a regression due to this commit:
github.com/volumio/Volumio2/com … 68c74ce017
Try to (but remember you will not able to update after this manual configuration) edit the file /volumio/app/plugins/audio_interface/upnp/upmpdcli.conf.tmpl and remove the line
checkcontentformat = 0
Let me know if this solves the issue and we’ll put a switch into Volumio for that.
Ironically, we added this to improve TIDAL compatibility with another player.
Hi Michelangelo
No, I’m afraid that didn’t work after removing the line and restarting.
I wonder where this regression comes from then.
Few questions:
- Are you sure it worked before updating?
- Can you check with an older version if that still works?
(want to rule out a possible change in the protocol of the QOBUZ app)
Newbie question, is there a way to instal it from the WebUI on the eMMC?
Yes, go to system page, that should do the trick
On the system page I can check for updates or factory reset but can’t update from a file
@michelangelo I’m stuck trying to update
Try to disable test mode
It’s working thanks I’ll test it and will post my comments in the myvolumio forum
No, it never worked for me but I had the impression it had for others? Now I’m not so sure.
Ok, so when you wrote:

I understood this was a regression.
Sorry but can’t help further on this, need to find time to install the app and test it this way. Really, what about giving myvolumio a go?
This way you will be sure it will be bit-perfect playback (with UPNP the stream might be resampled)
Hey michelangelo,
my first post in this forum, so hallo and thank you for your awesome work! I joined myVolumio yesterday on the virtuoso plan, works like a charm. I’m using volumio for about a year now, starting with local files from my NAS, added spotify via connect plugin after a while and now I’m testing the Qobuz integration with myVolumio which works fine too.
But, technical issue or not, I’m missing the freedom to connect volumio via Qobuz desktop app using UPNP as well. I guess it is a dilemma to sell myVolumio-Qobuz-Integration while giving away the connectivity via UPNP for free. This is totally comprehensible.
My suggestion: Why not make Qoboz/Tidal UPNP connectivity part of the myVolumio plan. I think that’s fair. It would be great to have the freedom to choose between those possibilities.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a pretty happy customer and I will continue with the virtuoso plan in any case, because I really like it.
Cheers!
