I have found that loading the plugin FusionDSP is a workaround. The plugin needs to be enabled but all of the DSP effects can be DISABLED. With this plugin my streaming and switching between spotify and qobuz is much more stable.

Spotify and Qobuz Connect needs FusionDSP to work when using both streaming apps

I use volumio primarily as a Spotify and Qobuz Connect end point. I run Rpi4 with a USB DAC with hardware mixer volume control. I have tried the last few rev 3.x and beta 4.x volumio distros. Qobuz has been rock solid. Pausing, unpausing, advancing thru playlists all works fine. Spotify also works well after a clean reboot of the RPi. The problem occurs when I first play a tune with Qobuz Connect, pause the tune and then launch a tune from a Spotify client. The song via Spotify either look…
