I would love to see Volumio properly sorting artist names alphabetically when browsing the Artists:
- Filter “The” from the artist name before alphabetically sorting; The Beatles should be under B and The Rolling Stones under R. These are now all listed under T.
- Handling of strange characters. For examlpe, Ólafur Arnalds should appear under O, but is moved all the way to the bottom of the list after Z.
This has annoyed me for years with Volumio. All music players I know do this (both major and small, open-source players), but for some reason Volumio does not. It seems a trivial fix. I once tried to dive into this, even looking at code of other players, but my knowledge and time are too limited to tackle this myself, hence this request.
