problems with a large list of music

Hi,
is there a limitation of the number of tracks managed by Volumio ?

I have a SSD disk connect in USB, with 107 Gbytes of music (16K tracks) and when I boot the Raspi with the disk connected, Volumio doesn’t start;
if I connect the disk after the start of Volumio, I have no problem.
I have tested with just 200 tracks, it’s OK; so it’s not a SSD disk problem.

Somebody else posted a similar problem to yourself a few days ago, may be worth a quick look about, unfortunately lots of questions go unanswered in these forums, a cpl of mine have never been addressed.
It seems if nobody has a definitive answer then your question is ignored.
I have a very large music library solely in flac up to 192/24 and the larger files are slow to show up artwork etc but they do populate and play etc.

Your exact answer I don’t have I’m afraid.
I hope your question isn’t lost as mine were.

This a little unfair, if there is an obvious answer then that is usually what you are given. If it is a much asked question, then perhaps people should rely on searching. If there is no answer, then perhaps at this point, people do not have an answer :wink: Volumio has a very small team, and relies on the Community to help everyone else out. If you feel that more could be done, then please feel free to contribute.

I would indeed contribute more if I had the knowledge, I know little of Linux programming hence why I am here, and hence why I asked my questions, that went answered, after a search too I might add.
I do however contribute, in the short time I have been here, with greeting new members and trying to help out where I can with my limited knowledge base.

I have PlayerPro and well over 15,000 songs. My problem is getting the artwork and editiding the tag on each one. Any help will will be greatly appreciated.

For editing tags and album art have a look at Musicbrainz Picard picard.musicbrainz.org/
Or if you prefer to to work in just a terminal beets.io
