Primo Plus powers on by itself

Hello,

I’ve had the Primo Plus since the beginning of this year. I have a peculiar problem; it powers itself on again after I’ve powered it off. Almost every time.
I thought it had to do with the apps of the device (Qobuz, Radio France App) that’s connected to the Primo Plus and for a while I thought I had solved it, by making sure I had also closed the apps. It seemed to do the trick but now I am back at the starting point. The thing just turns on by itself.
Has anyone had an issue like this? Any ideas?

Primo plus power on by itself is not standard behaviour.
There are 3 ways I can think of to get this:

  • Select reboot instead of shutting down.
  • You have unstable netpower, where a voltage drop initiate a startup due to settings:

    You can try what happens when you turn it off.
  • You’re streaming (Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, DNLA) from a device to the Primo Plus, which awakes it from standby.

You might post a log when it happens again.

As Primo Plus owner you’re entitled to premium support, you might consider raising a ticket with Volumio.

many thanks, I will look into these tomorrow. I already wrote to Volumio some while ago but no reply. Sometimes they reply, sometimes not, so I am glad there is this forum and people like you.

Just remember: the community can only give very basic Volumio hardware support, think “turn it off and on again,” but with more enthusiasm.
We don’t have access to their knowledge base, secret vault, or magic troubleshooting crystal ball. I do have a Primo Plus, but mine is behaving like a good boy.

Hi Wheaten,
the Auto Power On was off, but what I figured out was, that when I opened the Volumio App there was a track playing and I could not pause it. No matter if I pressed pause or restarted the app, it did not stop. I normally use Qobuz and Volumio I only used a few times in the beginning to check it out and look at the various settings for the Primo Plus.
There was a queue of songs there and I guess those just triggered the problem despite not having opened the Volumio app on any of these occasions.
