Primo Plus network drive problems

Hey guys,

New here, first post.

I just received a Primo Plus and it’s giving me endless issues with NAS drives (and WiFi, but that’s another issue).

I also have Rivo Plus for context, and that’s working flawlessly.

So my issue is, I’m using two network music drives attached to a Mac mini. Both Rivo+ and Primo+ see the shares immediately, and populate the music library. There’s some 6TB of music, so not small, but both seem to handle it with ease.

Now, like I said, Rivo+ is flawless. I can jump in and out of the Volumio app, jump to different folders on the NAS drives, switch between tracks, all happens quickly and smoothly.

On Primo+, it work ok initially. I struggle to start navigating the partly populated music library while it’s still updating, with lots of spinning wheels. Remember, no such issues on Rivo+.

I can then start playing music, and all goes fine for one session. If I then leave the session (but keep Primo+ on), and jump in a few hours later, for some reason the music library either corrupts or shows no files. Trying to go into Music results in spinning wheels…

Both network drives show as connected in Sources, but no files are shown under library. It gets to the point where I can’t even log into the Primo+ from the app, with failed to connect errors. As if trying to access the network has thrown it for a loop. I have it connected via Ethernet, just like Rivo+.

Scratching my head here. Is my Primo+ defective?.

PS. Screenshot is from.Rivo+. The Primo+ screen looked the same…until I couldn’t get in there any more. And when I did, I saw no files listed, even though they were there earlier today.
