Power supply Pi 3B & 7 inch Touch Screen

Am seeking advise on what power supply requirements are recommended for Volumio with a Raspberry Pi 3B device and an official Raspberry Pi 7 inch Touch Screen.

Have been using the official 2.5A from https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-universal-power-supply/.

Unfortunately this corrupted and on posting was suggested needed a beefier power supply?

Is the official one sufficient, whether using USB to power the touch screen or using the 40 pin option?

If not what specification of power supply should I get? Suggestions on where to purchase, in Australia my local area have Altronics and Jaycar as possible places.

I use the official power supply without any issues.
If you have a Pi 3+B (instead of the 3B), it is a different story because the 3+ has a significantly higher power consumption.

Thank you I think, need to confirm, I have the 3B+ model. Noted the slowing down when using single power supply the official Raspberry Pi 2.5A one. Have now separate power supplies to each and all seems well.
