I have a problem because the plugin sometimes does not properly slide the track. Installation on CM4.
Please, in English!!!
Great job with this plugin, this is exactly what Volumio needs. Is it possible to add sample rate to the interface like other music sources? I also have an issue with Volumio not being able to see my USB DAC when switching back to Roon after using it with other sources. The only way to fix it is by unplugging the USB and then plugging it back in. Does anyone here have the same issue?

Please don’t cross post the same questions in multiple topics.
@charliesjc, Do you think you can help. My roon isn’t show the volroon extension. Its just blank… Any help would be great. Roon Version 2.0 Buil1365…
Running on latest Volumio with a RPI 4 with 4GB ram.
The bridge out of the box works just not extension…
Does it take awhile? Can I kick it manually?
Also will we ever see the Roon playlist…
Phenomenal work… This should be the most popular plugin for volumio!
I too would love to see the sample/bit rates of tracks the same as other sources.
I just found out the ball is on Roon’s side. They don’t have that information available on their API. If you search Room’s forum, there should be a feature request for it already.
Is this plugin using the most recent version of Roon Bridge?
Roon says it’s the latest version. In the Roon app, open Settings > About and look for Roon Bridge.
I have been using Volumio for a couple of years but just recently discovered the Touch Display and Now Playing plugins. Today I installed the Volroon plugin and wanted to say how much I am enjoying the screen display whenever I am using the Roon Bridge. The Volroon display obviously uses the same screen layout and configuration as the Now Playing plugin and I am thrilled to be able to use either the MPD renderer (using JRiver Server/JRemote) or Roon Bridge and be able to have the display available in both scenarios.
I am running Volumio Version 3.819.
I have tested this with a Raspberry Pi 7" Touch Display and also a BigTreeTech Pi TFT50 display.
Thanks for this amazing plugin.
This looks like a great plugin, but I’m having issues. I’ve installed it on a Volumio Primo. I’m using the SPDIF output which is identified as USB Audio OnBoard #1 in the audio settings. I have Authorized the volroon extension. But when I look at the volroon settings on the Primo the roon host (and other volroon settings) show “not detected”.
I had it working for a while by using the Analog output (shows up as ES90x8Q2M DAC) and it was great, unfortunately I lost it when I reenabled the SPDIF output.
I’ve tried removing & reinstalling volroon, but without success (although volroon now is listed 3 times under Roon’s Extensions settings). Now I can’t get it to work with either output. Bummer, as it was great when it did work. But for my setup I really need to use the SPDIF output.
In use are: Volumio System Version 3.886, RoonBridge Version1.0.0, Volroon Version 1.0.4
Is using SPDIF a known issue? Any suggestions from anyone? Any help would be appreciated.
