MetaRoon connects to a Roon Core on the network and acts as a metadata display for Roon playback. Based off of the work done on RoonBridge (Christopher Rieke) and on the Volroon plugin(charliesjc). This is primarily for volumio kiosks as it allows usage of roon library from volumio directly. I could not implement a reliable way for the plugin to detect which zone was being served by volumio hence the plugin has a selector for which roon zone the plugin needs to monitor/control
The plugin is available in the beta channel in the plugin store. You can turn on beta plugins by visiting your Volumio device’s hostname with a “/dev” at the end. i.e. volumio-url/dev
