No, at least not with reasonable effort.
I did factory reset. Could succesfully install Touch Display.
Still cannot turn my waveshure 7" upside down - I do set ratation in TD settings to 180 degrees and reboot with no effect.
What is the exact model name of the display?
What Pi model are you using?
Please post the output of
cat /boot/config.txt
and
cat /boot/userconfig.txt
Does rotating by 90 or 270 degrees work?
Yes, it does.
Then I suspect the display not being fully compatible with the driver in use.
You can try adding
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-7inch
to “/boot/userconfig.txt” and executing
mkdir /home/volumio/.config/openbox
cat >> /home/volumio/.config/openbox/autostart <<EOL
xrandr --output DSI-1 --rotate inverted
EOL
Then reboot.
No rotation from TD work now. It`s stuck in 270.

Did you already add the two “dtoverlay…” lines? If so, then that’s normal but rotation should not be stuck at 270 deg.
Please post the output of
xrandr --display :0 --query
OK. I did some mess in userconfig,txt before. Now edited once more and it is working.
Screen is in the right position.

Well, sorry but I still do have issues with my touch screen. It crashed the whole system a while after my previous message :-/
I reinstalled and corrected userconfig. Volumio works. Screen is rotated in the right position.
but
Volumio operated from the screen is very slaggish. It is almost impossible to do anything because it is so slow. When operated from the web interface it runs like hell - no issues.
Any ideas?

What type of LCD ?? Waveshare has hardware brightnes.
