[PLUGIN] Touch Display

Did you possibly set display rotation via " dtoverlay=waveshare35a:rotate= but did not rotate touch accordingly?

Unlikely to be related to the Touch Display plugin.

Are you refering to Volumio’s UI or to the whole system?

The UI on the local display will not be blazingly fast, but should not be “super sluggish” either.

Are you sure you didn’t mix up the usb ports? Maybe you connected the one with touch to the power supply?

I think so, mine has an additional frame housing

This one?

oh yes

Please post the result of

ls -al /dev/input

If the “/dev/input” directory is not empty please also check if running

cat /dev/input/event*

and touching the screen shows some reaction (weird characters). You can exit this test by hitting Ctrl+c

If possible as already requested post a picture of the connections you made between display and Pi.

The touchscreen is not registered as an input device.

what can I do
is this recognized automatically?

Should be, I guess, but I can’t find any documentation for the display. :slightly_frowning_face:

As already requested, please post a picture of the connections you made between display and Pi.

You can see the HDMI and USB-C plug

Display side
