It didn’t help
So display works, but touch not?
What steps did you take? Did you follow these instructions?
Please post the result of
cat /boot/config.txt
and
cat /boot/userconfig.txt
I’ll try it now, then I’ll unsubscribe.
Sorry, but I don’t understand. Up to now you did not try the instructions from the link?
I’m confused
Me too. I have no clue what you did to make display (and touch) work and in what state your system is now.
If you also don’t know in what state your system is, I recommend to start with a fresh Volumio installation and follow the instructions in this post.
It didn’t work. I did everything from 0 and according to the instructions.
volumio@volumio:~$ cat /boot/config.txt
initramfs volumio.initrd
gpu_mem=32
max_usb_current=1
dtparam=audio=on
audio_pwm_mode=2
dtparam=i2c_arm=on
disable_splash=1
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
force_eeprom_read=0
include userconfig.txt
volumio@volumio:~$ cat /boot/userconfig.txt
dtparam=spi=on
dtoverlay=tft35a
What does not work? Display? Touch? Both?
Touch
Please post the result of
ls -al /dev/input
You may also (visually) check if the cable between the circuit board of the display and the screen looks ok. Maybe post a picture of the front of the display where the cable is visible, too.
volumio@volumio:~$ ls -al /dev/input
total 0

drwxr-xr-x 16 root root 3860 Oct 28 14:10 …

Maybe it doesn’t work? Is there any way to replace it with buttons?
Sometimes the touch part of touch displays just stops working. I use a 4-year-old official raspberry pi 7" screen that did this. Thought at first it was a Volumio problem, but it doesn’t work with the raspberry pi OS either, also with new cable. Still displays well though.
You always can hookup a mice and keyboard
There are remotes with all in one …
I meant the physical buttons left, right, up, down, enter…
Please execute
cat /dev/input/event0
touch the screen and watch if there is any ouput from the command.
No reaction
If you want a remote on usb look here all in one
And next you want a bigger screen LOL
