Thanks for adding the customization options. They are perfect!
Checkout what I created with your plugin.

Volumio rpi inside the tape player playing music through the amp + another rpi running kisok mode to pick up the now playing webpage with album art that is broadcasting over the TV air (uhf channel 13) to get picked up by the small tv. Also setup a NFC card reader to playback albums I’ve made and stored in cassette cases. Also not show, the physical buttons work.

Just having a quick play around at the moment.
The resize “%” works perfectly …Thanks

However…

In the “Widget Styles” section with “Widget Visability” set to custom, there is the option to turn on/off the seek bar and another option to turn on/off the playback buttons.

The option to turn on/off the seekbar does nothing.
The option to turn on/off the playback buttons turns both the seek bar and playback buttons on/off together.

Hope you understand that, if you need any more info just ask.

I’ve been guilty of being a pedant too
But having struggled with spelling, literacy, dyslexia etc. etc. etc. all my life, I dont think that I do too bad nowadays and as long as the person knows what i’m talking about, it doesnt really matter. :+1:

Updated v0.5.4:

  • Fix widget visibility bug
  • Add “My Background” option to Background Settings. If you choose “Random” image type, you can also choose to refresh it at intervals and / or on track change.
  • Add “Startup Options”, in case you want to have some control over the default active view that is displayed when the plugin starts.

is it possible to move the album art left or right? i can nudge it over changing the width to something wider that square but then i no longer have a corner radius

The margin to the left of album art is currently non-customizable.

I am not aware that you can nudge it by changing widths. What are your settings to achieve this?

I’ll think about how to add customizable left padding to album art.

i set the width to 380 and height to 260 and “art fit” to contain. it is cheating but as i said i no longer have corner radius.

off topic. i don’t get the source or bit rate when using roon. is that normal? works if i use the built in now playing screen

It’s normal in this case. I’ll see what I can do to add customizable margins to albumart.

When playing from Roon. Show me the “Player State” part of http://<volumio address/dev.

Oh look at that, roon doesn’t pass the data. I must have been using airplay or something when I saw that data.

Patrick, as I said before, the PLUGIN is the best feature so far for me.
I have 2 questions

  1. Perhaos Im stupid, but how do I make the gap between Song name and Artist smaller? See picture

  2. Is it possible to add “My screensaver images” when I dont want to use Unsplash? That would be awesome

In the settings, find “Text Styles”
then find “Margins” and set it to custom
Use a value format eg. “0px 0px 0px 0px” .(top, right,bottom,left)
You should only need to change top and bottom, but you need all four values in there for it to work.

All you are doing is moving the lines of text around so this part is just trial and error.
Start with all zero then change a value hit save see what it looks like, you can use negative values too.

is there a way to customise the Idle screen?

i would like the screen to appear immediately after stop or pause, i.e. one second or directly …you can’t set less than 10 seconds

No, 10 seconds is the minimum. Touch Display can turn the screen off in 1 sec, but then no idle screen.
