[PLUGIN] MPD OLED - installation & configuration plugin

Thanks @Adrii , I’m subscribed to mpd_oled so will watch out for any issues that appear, also if there’s anything I need to know pop it on this thread.

Thanks @balbuze for the merge! I never thought it would happen

Thanks to everyone who tested it too.

I hope more people will be able to enjoy @Adrii’s work more easily :sunglasses::crossed_fingers:

It’s just the way mpd_oled program accepts displays, that’s the numbering it uses.

He’s a clever guy too! :star_struck:

Version 1.1.1 works great, 1.0.18 works fine too. Thanks for your work!

Oooh… nice chassis! Look how clean that faceplate is! Is that laser cut?

Thank you for your interest.

The main parts of my streamer case are laser cut from dibond material. The hole for the OLED display too.
The smaller pieces are handmade by me.

Przepraszam, myliłem się😧. Dibond został wycięty frezem

I would first upgrade to the latest stable release V.1.1.1, instead of reporting issues with an older release.
This issue is fixed with the latest release as you can read in this topic.

Hi ,
Sorry , I am on latest version 1.1.1. My mistake with v 1.018

Haven’t been able to reproduce this, or even seen it.
Let’s see what happens over 40 minutes, as then the box has been idle for 70 minutes.

[edit]
After waiting 70 minutes, MPD_OLED just start without issues. So I will not be able to find a root cause. Maybe posting a log when it happens might help the developers.

This related to mpd oled ?

yes. Just when mpd_oled is enabled

I’ve tested this on 3 different systems, but all act as expected.
So I am afraid I can’t provide much help or suggestions.

  • rPi4-8GB, iFi Zen DAC
  • rPi4-8GB, Allo Digione, Touch display + Peppy_Meter
  • rPi4-4GB, Hifiberry DAC+ADC

Btw except log, it works fine on my rpi3 + qobuz even after a long pause
