Plops in Hres with external Usb-DAC

HI

I try to use my external dac , smsl M100, with Usb connexion to benefit the HW volum control.

In this case, in Hres >= 96khz I got some plops, clicks at the beginning of the track. Via toslink or via usb on my laptop I do not have such issue. So it looks the pb is the sync between RPI3B and the USB dac.

Is there a way, set up I can do to cover this issue ?

Upgrade to Raspberry PI 4.

Versions of PI below 4 have a known issue on the USB bus, which results in crackling sound when outputting high res material via USB.
