Hello there!
I’m a little bit stuck here.
My setup is a 3 weeks old Rpi 3 B+ (with a 2.5A PSU) and a “Cambridge Audio DacMAgic+” DAC.
The Songs are stored on my Synology NAS and the Pi is connected via Ethernet to my LAN.
While sending the audio data via USB everything worked so far.
A few days ago I received my PfFi Digi+ v.1 board. Since two days now I’m trying to get it work but without any result.
I tried both spdif connectors (RCA and Toslink) without any success.
I have checked the spdif Inputs on my DAC with other audio sources (TV reciever -> optical and CD player -> digi RCA) and they worked so far.
My Volumino settings:
Activated i2S and chose “HifiBerry Digi+ Pro” and rebooted the system.
After hitting play I hear nothing but I assume volumio plays a song. The volume level is automatically set to 100% and cannot be changed.
I’ve tried switching between DSD mode and DSD over PCM and activated Audio resampling but nothing seem to change a thing.
The volumio version that I originally installed was nr. 2.388 from this thread https://volumio.org/forum/new-rasberry-pi3-t9519.html
and was later upgraded to nr. 2.839 by the volumio system settings.
One more thing. The DAC manual says that only 2 Ch. LPCM or Dolby Digital 2.0 will be accepted. DTS or DD5.1 won’t work.
Maybe anyone can help me.
I would really like to use the PiFi board instead of the usb protocol because I always have to restart the Pi when I turned the Dac off and later on again.
This is quite annoying.
