I’m really want to like my volumio pi3. When it works it sound/works great but this thing is kind of buggy. The frustration for me is that every other day or so the thing goes brain dead and I have to reflash the drive. I have it assembled with a touch screen and in a case. Unfortunately, the SD card is really hard to get to. I’ve got a SD cable extender but this is even worse. I’m reading that these cables are very prone to interference so this isn’t working well either.
I was wondering if it would be possible to get it to boot from a usb flash drive as these ports are much easier to access. I could keep a few drive pre-flashed and change them out much easier. Just a thought.
