PI A from 2011, erratic and bad performance

Hi
When I saw this solution I had high hopes, but now I am left with despair!
I have installed volumio on an A version from 2011 and I get the following errors:

  1. Unable to set WIFI connections from web interface?
  2. Playing of radio stations are erratic , sometimes it can do it sometimes not?
  3. Airplay works sometimes also, but only in slow-motion? The music plays slower than it should (sound kind of funny, Adele’s voice becomes like a man)

Is the board (which otherwise works perfectly) too old for this?
Or what could be the problem?

you should look at the cpu load, maybe your raspberry has started a service with a high load.
