My volumio works well except anytime I veer away from the app for any reason say to answer the phone or search on google , it seems to always reload . I end up deleting and reloading app and still takes a while . It is very frustrating seems it destroys the user experience when you want to say change songs from a different album. I spend more time reloading the app than surfing through it.
Assuming its an android device, for me its done this since the update to Android 10.
In my experience you are much better off using a browser and creating a desktop shortcut to Volumio.
I use fully kiosk browser, it runs full screen and doesnt disconnect or any disconnects that do happen only take a second to reconnect.

Sorry no experience with Apple devices but… no harm trying a browser, maybe the same bug accross platforms.
