Official Volumio 3 for Asus Tinkerboard

Volumio 3 downloads for Asus Tinkerboard/ Tinkerboard S were removed from the Volumio OS page due to an extreem low number of downloads.
However, official support for the Asus Tinkerboards will remain unchanged.

Updates will continue to be released with major Volumio updates.
They can be applied with OTA update or by flashing the new image on the SD-card.

New Image 3.569 with Tidal Hi-Res Flac, see post #1

new image v3.703 is available

Great to hear Volumio continues to support Tinkerboard!

Sorry to ask help about I2s DAC option missing from Playback settings. I tried 3.546 and 3.703 but till find that “I2S DAC” option missing, as Output option are only HDMI, SPDIF and onboard audio.

Look forward to solutions. Thanks!

new stable version 3.779 is available

Is it possible to update volumio primo V1 to a newer kernel version?

Now i have

  • Version of Volumio: 3.779
  • Hostname: volumio
  • Kernel: 4.4.71+

Hi @SanKen ,

what problems do you have with the current kernel?

I don’t have. Any problem
The question is whether this is possible.
And is it possible to update to BETA version?
DEV - Test Mode doesn’t work

ASUS did not release any update for the vendor kernel of the ThinkerBoard, so it’s not possible to have it updated on Volumio

Regarding Test Mode, even if you enable it you won’t find any newer version, because 3.779 is the most recent one anyhow
