As a happy user of Volumio i tried my luck on the official Raspberry Pi touchscreen with dificulty this time, I can install Volumio just fine and log in to it remotely. after a fresh restart I installed the touchscreen plugin which installs OK but when I activate the plug in the screen switches to a sort of console (a mouse pointer appears) but Volumio does not appear.
Can somebody help me in what to do ?
If I connect a mouse i can get a context menu by pushing the right mouse.
I was setting up Volumio 2 with the same model display last night. I don’t recall now if the Volumio screen displayed after I activated the plugin, or if I rebooted 1st. I’d try rebooting the system after making sure the display plugin is activated. You’ll get the normal Linux text display of boot messages, then the cursor will display on a blank/gray screen, then the Volumio display comes up. I’d also make sure I’ve updated Volumio to the most recent version (I used the on-screen check for updates and it worked smoothly).
I have encountered the same issue yesterday.
I had to flash again the SDcard (as plugin uninstall broke Volumio) and to install the touchscreen plugin again. Then, it was ok.
Seems there is an issue with plugin installation from time to time.
